When our friends and neighbors at Whole Earth
asked us for something new, we found this high grown, rainforest alliance certified bean from Oaxaca, Mexico. To make it even more distinctive, we decided to forgo our standard East Coast Roast and take this bean darker than any other coffee we sell. It’s earth-conscious, and it’s totally crunchy, dude.
Since it’s grown at such high altitudes, our Mexican Oaxaca is a very dense bean. That density means we can push it further when roasting, and take it past caramelization and into carbonization. It’s full and smoky, and just like a really crispy piece of bacon, it’s irresistible.
